5.3.4 Set Port Format

Using the Set Port Format option, the word length and parity

parameters for a port can be set to accommodate the needs of the

device connected to it. It is important that these settings are correct for

proper device interfacing.

Supported Word Lengths

1. From the Port Config Menu, select

Show Port Function

PORT CONFIG MENU

3 Set Port Speed

4 Set Port Format

Select # more:S

2. Key in the port to be changed.

Example: 1

SET PORT FORMAT

Enter port number:



: Quit more:S

3. Key in the word length.

Example: 8

SET PORT FORMAT

Enter word length:



: Quit more:S
